Vinod “Vin” Gupta is Managing Partner of Everest Group. Everest Group is a single family investment office that specializes in venture capital, private equity, and business consulting services. Mr. Gupta has completed over sixty acquisitions over the course of his career.  He’s always looking for attractive acquisition opportunities.  With expertise in turning around underperforming companies, and developing the infrastructure needed for success within fledgling organizations, Everest Group operates primarily in the information technology and database technology sectors.

For decades Everest Group has helped shape the future of both industries. As the company’s Managing General Partner, Vin provides mentorship, business analytics, and long-term planning to effectively regain profitability for overturned ventures, generate funding for start-ups, and help prospective clients grow.

To date, Everest Group has invested in various leading companies, including Facebook, Constant Contact, Netflix, Yahoo, SentinelOne, Toast and many others. Vin has led efforts in recognizing the potential of communication-heavy services from the early stages of their development. Embracing new applications, the rise of artificial intelligence, and uncharted territories ahead, Everest Group under the leadership of Vin Gupta continues to invest in innovative leaders to help grow the next generation of great companies.

For six years Gupta served as a trustee of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.  He was nominated by President Clinton and confirmed by a committee of the U.S. Senate to serve as the U.S. Consul General in Bermuda.  He was later nominated to serve as U.S. ambassador to Fiji; a position he declined due to his myriad business commitments.

Mr. Gupta holds a BS in Tech Agricultural Engineering from IIT Kharagpur,  MS Agricultural Engineering, MBA and an Honorary Doctorate from University of Nebraska, an Honorary Doctorate from Monterey Institute of International Studies, an Honorary Doctorate from IIT Kharagpur, an Honorary Doctorate from IIT Jodhpur, and an Honorary Doctorate from Singhania University, Udaipur India.
